| Cambria Center for the Gifted Child started as a home-based school back in 1980 with a group of four children that were participants in the Founder/Director's doctoral research project. In 1982, Cambria Center for the Gifted Child moved into its own building and expanded to include not only pre-school but also elementary school. As the word spread, the student population grew and we have continued to succeed based upon our theories concerning education.
The Center has grown to become a pre-eminent private non-sectarian educational institution with an annual enrollment of nearly 300 students from pre-k through the 5th grade. A great number of our graduates leave our institution and enter preparatory schools on academic scholarships, while others enter some of the more challenging public schools and are raised a grade level based upon their academic strengths. Cambria Center for the Gifted child attributes its success not only to its focused, caring approach to education; but also to it's staff, families, and those within and outside of the community that have supported us. |
