Cambria Center for the Gifted Child started as a home-based school back in 1980 with a group of four children that were participants in the Founder/Director’s doctoral research project. In 1982, Cambria Center for the Gifted Child moved into its own building and expanded to include not only pre-school but also elementary school. As the word spread, the student population grew and has continued to succeed based upon our theories concerning education.
CCGC has grown to become a pre-eminent private non-sectarian educational institution with an annual enrollment of approximately 300 students from pre-k through 5th grade. A great number of our graduates leave our institution and enter independent schools on academic scholarships, while others enter some of the more challenging public schools and are raised a grade level based upon their academic strengths. Cambria Center attributes its success not only to the focused, caring approach to education; but also to the staff, families, and those within and outside of the community that have supported the Cambria family.
Our Mission Statement
Cambria Center’s mission is to nurture, motivate and challenge gifted students to reach their potential – intellectually, artistically, emotionally and socially.
